About Art By April

To be completely honest, this business was born out of uncertainty, prayer, passion, and a whole lot of faith.

 

I was laid off in December of 2025, and if you would’ve told me then that I’d be starting my own art business months later, I probably wouldn’t have believed you.

 

With a degree in HR Management, I truly thought finding another job would be simple. Instead, it became hundreds of applications, interviews that led nowhere, rejection emails, and sometimes no responses at all. It was discouraging in ways I can’t even fully explain.

 

Yet during all of it, I kept praying.

 

Asking God what I was supposed to do next.
Asking Him what direction I was supposed to take.
Asking Him to open the right doors.

 

And over and over again, I felt Him placing this on my heart: 

now is the time.

 

Art has been part of me for as long as I can remember. It’s something I’ve loved since I was a child. Something I’ve dreamed about pursuing for years. Something many people encouraged me to do long before I ever believed I actually could.

 

But like so many creatives, I also grew up hearing that art “wasn’t a real job.”

 

So I pushed it aside.
Played it safe.
Followed the path that made the most sense on paper.

 

Yet somehow, God kept bringing me back here.

 

So here I am.
Finally taking the leap.
Finally trusting the calling.
Finally creating the thing I’ve always dreamed of building.

 

Will this be my full-time job right now? Yes.
Does that mean it couldn’t become part-time someday if God opens another door for me? Absolutely not.

 

I don’t know exactly what the future holds, but I do know that I’m incredibly excited to create, connect, and share my passion with so many amazing people through this journey.

 

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged me, supported me, prayed for me, and believed in me before I even believed in myself.
